Opportunities to join the Medical Innovation Research in AI (MIRAI) Laboratory at Üsküdar University, Türkiye.
If you are already an MSc student at Üsküdar University, and you would like to either do your Graduation Project with me or join the MIRAI Laboratory, then please email me your CV and a brief description of your research interests. Current MSc thesis topics supervised in my group include real-time EEG-based mindfulness state detection, EEG biomarker detection using machine learning, and AI-based educational technology adoption in health sciences.
If you are not at Üsküdar yet and are seeking funded MSc positions, I currently do not have dedicated funding for MSc applicants. However, you are welcome to apply directly to the university's Software Engineering programme and reach out to me afterwards.
While I am always looking for self-motivated PhD students with a strong background in artificial intelligence, EEG/ERP signal processing, or biomedical data analysis, I recruit doctoral students primarily through graduate programmes at Üsküdar University. Prospective students should apply directly to the relevant graduate programme and email me after admission.
I am particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in machine learning, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, motor behavior, or related fields. Active research directions in my group include: intelligent diagnostics for ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, explainable AI for clinical decision support, EEG/ERP-based brain-computer interfaces, gait and motor performance analysis, and AI-driven mental health informatics. I also collaborate with the Brain and Trauma Foundation Grison (Switzerland) and the Pitt HexAI Research Laboratory (University of Pittsburgh) on interdisciplinary AI and healthcare projects.

Collaborative areas of particular interest include EEG/ERP signal processing, machine learning for mental health diagnostics, explainable AI in healthcare, motor behavior analysis, and neurofeedback-based interventions.
